Tanya first started teaching over 10 years ago when she taught at the Country Cross Stitcher in Woburn and then at the Woburn School of Needlework. After teaching at the School for a couple of years, she went on to form a very successful stitch club where she teaches once a week.
As well as teaching, Tanya designs samplers for her own business - Thimble Cottage Designs. Her interest lies in the traditional forms of embroidery such at Stumpwork, Pulled and Drawn Thread work and Samplers.
Tanya now runs the Bedfordshire School of Needlework with her colleague, Jane Jordan, where she is also a full-time tutor teaching all forms of traditional embroidery.

Gillian has had an interest in beads and beadwork since she was a small child. She is trained in Fine Arts and has been working with beads for almost 40 years. She often undertakes commissions - an aspect of her work that she really enjoys - and has held exhibitions at various venues throughout the county.
For twenty years Gillian has been passing on the skills of bead threading and weaving through her courses, workshops and residential weekends. She is a member of The Bead Society of Great Britain, The Beadworkers Guild and The Bead Study Trust.
Kathleen trained through City and Guilds and holds an OCN diploma in textiles. She has been teaching hand stitching for a number of years and has a particular interest in Goldwork and the many techniques needed to create individual and innovatively worked designs.
She has taught extensively in this area, having written and published numerous articles for well known magazines. Her goldwork has a stylised appearance which lends itself to simple designs. The texture and tones of the gold threads emulate elegance throughout all of her designs.
