Machine Embroidered Organza Panel
Tutor - Kathleen Laurel Sage
Using layers of see through organza layered between soluble film. Machine your floral design over the film trapping all the fabrics. Dissolve the film away leaving a new fabric from which we will cut away layers to expose hidden fabric adding new shades and tones before finally heating up a soldering iron to remove unwanted areas and add details. It's great fun - come on and have a go.
You will need to purchase a kit for this project on the day of the class. The kit costs £9.00 and includes all fabrics, beads, dissovable film, instructions, design, diagram and process chart. You will be able to choose from a selection of kits, i.e. Poppy, Tulip, Clematis, Sunflower, Butterflies and Geraniums.

Machine Embroidered Organza Jewellery
Tutor - Kathleen Laurel Sage
Using layers of organza trapped between soluble film, we will machine our pendant design before soaking the film away leaving a layered jewellery element. Some of the layers will be cut back to let underneath colours show through and we will use a soldering iron to cut it out and add details, before stitching it onto a PVC backing. Using traditional beading techniques you will create a stunning piece of jewellery that you won't see anyone else wearing.
You will need to purchase a kit for this project on the day of the class. The kit costs £10.00 and includes all organza fabrics, dissovable film, design, diagrams, process charts, seed beads, feature beads, jewellery fixings, beading thread and plastic for mounting the embroidery onto. A choice of kits will be available on the day.
