Classes run from 10.30am to 4.30pm unless otherwise stated. Please note that doors for the school will only open at 10.15am. This is so the tutors have sufficient time to set up prior to their class

Booking

Bookings made via this website are securely processed by PayPal or you cn complete a booking form and send it with payment. Booking forms are avaiable from the school.

Refunds

We have a 'no refund' policy as we have to cover overheads, including tutors' fees. Should it be necessary to cancel a class the school will, of course, give a full refund

Refreshments

Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are served in the morning and afternoon. Please could you bring a packed lunch with you when attending a workshop

What you need to bring

Please bring a selection of tapestry and embroidery needles, a hoop or a frame (4", 6" and 8" are usually suitable for most of the projects taught at the school) and a sharp pair of embroiderly scissors. If you use a magnifier and/or table lamp please feel free to bring them with you

Student requirement list for the Goldwork classes

• 32cm (12") embroidery hoop. Please make sure that your hoop has been wrapped with a cotton binding
• Good selection of small, medium and large sewing needles
• Small, sharp embroidery scissors
• Small tray for beads and gold purl purl
• Covered brick to hold loop on the table edge to free both hands for stitching. If you have a fanny frame or floor stand you will not need the covered brick

Cover a house brick with 2oz wadding and wrap a piece of fabric round it just as though you were wrapping a parcel. Stitch the wrapped ends with a few stitches to hold. Now it will act as a weight to hold the hoop and a pin cushion for our needles.

Student requirement list for Machine-embroidered Organza classes

• A sewing machine with drop feed dogs or plate to cover them
• Free motion embroidery foot or round darning foot (essential)
• Glass choping board or smooth tile to solder on
• Face mask
• Bathroom towell
• Selection of machine threads (full reels)
